Personally, I am not a fan of Indian, and I wasn't sure about eating in Blue Mango; I hadn't even heard of it before! My business partner was adamant to hold the meeting with another corporation there though, and I found out why during my meal.

Upon our arrival, I was impressed by the appearance of the restaurant itself: there were no stereotypical tacky wallpapers or pictures hanging on yellowing walls, but a chic, modern, blue and mahogany theme running throughout.

Then the meal itself was another shock! I always feel that Indian food is either too spicy or too bland; the chefs here seem to have found the balance. The meeting was dull, but that was 90 minutes of dining that made up for it!

This is my favourite Indian place in Birmingham. The Decor is modern and stylish, but the food tastes traditional Indian. It does regional specialities as well. Rather expensive, but reasonably so.
