I went to the Ikon gallery a few years ago to vist as my favourite artist had an exhibition there & have been visting since. The Gallery has mainly modern art which is nice and refreshing to see.
It is a great place with friendly helpful staff & there is always something to everyones taste to see there.
The Ikon Gallery itself is a work of art as it is housed in old neo-gothic style Oozells Street School.
There are regular changes to the various exhibitions so it is a good idea to look on their website to see what the current one is before you vist.
There is a shop that sells quirky stationary & gifts plus a lovely Cafe that sells the most delicious food at reasonable prices
Admission is Free to the Gallery.
There is lot's more to do in Brindley Place where the Gallery is situated so you can really make a good day out of it.
