Lovely atmosphere for 2 people to eat, but a little cramped between tables. People will wait to get a window seat which are like 2 trendy leather sofas with table in between - very comfy and great for people watching. At the mo there is work going on around the whole building and the windows are boarded off - must be pretty dark inside as a result, and impossible to people watch!

I live up the road from Bennetts so it is pretty much my local, and while it's not the fanciest place in the world, it is friendly with good bistro food and a nice atmosphere. The weekend breakfast is fantastic. For a great burger, the Gourmet Burger Bank just up the road is a better bet, but Bennetts can be relied on for a range of different foods, a changing special pizza, and the usual bistro-ish food. Bit noisy at times, but I've always found it good for business lunches.

Couldn't reserve a table here, so it was very much first-come-first-served. Good location at Strandtown crossroads. Music level far from background enjoyed only by youthful staff - couldn't hear what my companion was saying across the table. Had speciality of the day which was equivalent fish and chips from across the road in the Silver Leaf Cafe, but almost double the price. As I was treating a visitor from abroad to lunch, I felt I could have done a lot better in the area. Disappointing.
