Reviews for Auntie Annie's Porterhouse
Great food and live bands probably the most friendliest bar in town. You will always bump into someone you know and if that fails friendly bar staff and unusually decent door staff. Check this place out. P.S whatever happened to Kerryann?
Annies is one of the bars in belfast that everyone goes to. Its located on the dublin road beside movie house cinemas and throughout the day is thronged with young professionals and busy shoppers. Staff are excellent and people are always friendly. If you venture upstairs at the weekend (not open every night), there will be drink offers galore and lots of good music to listen to. Its always been a bar ive loved to meet people in for a quiet drink before the cinema or before maybe heading to a nightclub, but many a nights ive spent there until closing time.
Auntie Annies Porterhouse is located on the busy Dublin Road in Belfast, close to Queens University, and the city centre / main bus and train station. It’s dark but welcoming on the inside, and looks very luxurious. Catering mostly to the indie / alternative and student crowds, there is always a crowd in it, and the banter is always raucous and fun. Upstairs in the function room, you’ll find live gigs from local and international acts, and themed music night ranging from rock nights to disco fever nights. It’s a comfortable bar to sit for a few pints with your mates, and also reasonably priced, due to its proximity to the university. The bar staff are always up for a bit of a chat, and you won’t have trouble fitting in right away.
