Reviews for McHughs
Reputedly Belfast's oldest building, 29-31 Queens Square is home to McHughs - a truly lovely pub and restaurant.
On the day we visited, it has been snowing. The snow had turned into a gray drizzle, so it was fantastic when we went in and spied the open fire burning away.
McHughs were doing a really great offer - Irish Stew and Guinness (it's the Morecambe and Wise of food partnerships!) for £5.95. The Guinness was delicious as usual and the Irish stew chunky and tasty - we felt very well fed by the end.
The staff, like in all the places we visited in Northern Ireland was friendly, the service was good and it was with a heavy heart that we left the warmth of McHughs, with the thought of our flight back home on our minds. On top of that was the thought that next time we come to Belfast, we'll be spending more time here.
