Reviews for Loch Fyne
If you like poor service and cold food in unimaginative surroundings then this is the place. Pretentious booking - we were asked to come earlier although the place was half empty and remained so. Staff who forgot (or never knew) "what am I here for". Poor lighting which lights naff pictures but fails to illuminate the food or menus. The seafood was okay though nothing exceptional.
I recently moved in about 50m for this Loch Fyne restaurant and my wife and I will almost ceratinly become regulars here (if the budget allows). The restaurant is huge and well presented and the quality of the food is consistently good, a hallmark of the Loch Fyne chain. My major complaint would be that apart from a few specials, the menu doesn't change: the biggest downside of chain restaurants. I am not one to have "favourite" dishes, instead preferring to try something different each time I visit a restaurant, and I will soon have exhausted much of the regular Loch Fyne menu.
The food is appropriately priced for good seafood (i.e. on the expensive side). This restaurant is a good "staple" if you live nearby and can afford it, but if you're looking for something special, you should look a little further afield.
