Lovely food, good service but a little slow 23rd March 2008

The food was brilliant. Cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked to specification, the pies had lovely gravy and the desserts were astounding!

The interior is lovely and the tables are all layed out around the central bar area where you order food. Lots of illuminated parking with CCTV.

Definitely give it a go. It took a while for the food to come from the kitchens (about 30 minutes and we didn't order anything 'special') so try to get there about 12-12.30 for lunch. The service was brilliant and very friendly, it was just a shame about the wait.

Make sure you read the monthly specials that are on the tables - that had some really different food on, such as game pie (not average pub food).

EDIT 28/12: Went again yesterday. Service is even slower. Lunch took over 2 hours. Also, if you're visually impaired it's very dark so menu reading is a challenge.
