  Fast food delight

  It's not often I get take away as I usually make my own Indian meals but sometimes you just can't be bothered to cook and you fancy something that would be to much hassle to do yourself.
  
  The Alnwick tandoori doesn't look much from the outside and as another review said - don't be put off by the scruffy exterior as the food is pretty good.
  
  The staff are friendly and often what we do is phone in an order and then go for a time and pick it up as we live out in the sticks and it's easier to collect than to wait for delivery.
  
  We often go for the vegetarian thali because that way you get a little of everything - rice, a curry dish and maybe a vegetable side dish and poppadums and naan bread. The thali is often enough for the two of us with a side dish.
  
  Prices are very reasonable and sometimes it's just what you want when you can't be bothered!

  Don't be put off by the scruffy building

  This is an great Indian takeaway in Alnwick. The staff are excellent and work really hard to give a good service. The food is great, good value, tasty and well presented.
