Reviews for Goulash Restaurant
Have been meaning to try the "Hungarian" in Adelphi for years but never got round to it. Agreed to meet my old friend Mike at The Prince of Wales for a catch up and then go for a meal. Chose "Goulash" as it was close by. Arrived early evening and were the first diners, met by an extreemly friendly waitress who turned out to be the owners wife, by the end of the evening as you would expect the place was full. Fresh bread and butter delivered to the table and the menu explained, we chose wisely Mikes chicken pancake in a cream and paprica sauce was acording to him devine, as was my superb selection of Hungarian cold meats and pate. For main I chose Roast Boar in a rich sauce which was not only delicious but extremely tender, Mike tried the Goulash and Zoltand, the Owner, on finding out he like spicy food came with a separate bowl of hot paprica and was that hot. Sweet Pancakes and a selection of Hungarian Cheese finished off our meal. With a couple of Genuine Buds, a bottle of wine, liqures and coffee our bill came to a very reasonable £55. The next time my wife and I eat out with friends in Aberdeen the location has already been selected. "GOULASH" of course, superb food, great service and value for money in the Granite City.
