Where to start, took an hour to get food, my other half found a hair in the pasta, burnt kids pizza, tried to charge us extra for kids ice cream, even though they were part of kids meal, ..on the plus side, the salad was ok!

Don't consider myself fussy, first really bad review I have had to give. First and last visit.

boring place, no atmosphere at all, staff look depressed and look as if they don't really want to be there. No Music, just sports News. Boring Boring. Only good thing was the 241 offers. its such a shame tho, it could be a great place to be at the weekend....

Went to the Monkey House on my lunch break with work mates. They had a 241 on food and drinks so final bill was halved! Haddock is massive!!!
Serving staff could have been slightly more efficient but to be fair to them they were very busy.
Been back a few times now and food is great.

Don't bother! Had dinner there last night with my husband. Things started out fine, service was good, Guinness and Stella drafts were clean, the atmosphere and decor is nice. The food is lousy. My venison burger was burnt and my chips tasted like sawdust. My husband's meal was not as bad, braised lamb - supposedly braised for 3 hours, clearly wasn't. Would be a fine place to drink, just don't bother with the food.
