Reviews for Espionage

My advice is stay well away! In the last year i have been there 5 times. all of which have ended up in disasters. Myself and my friends have been the victims of Theft, Extreme sexual advances (my wife referes to this place as the 'cock'in'pocket) Spiked drinks, a rather disapoining fire (the club survived), Threats with Knives, and general abuse from the regulars. All in all a very scary place, as the Bouncers or 'Security Staff' do very little to help you out, unless you fit into a short skirt. just the other night they denied seeing anything when the police arrived to arrest someone with a knife right outsite the front door. Save yourself and stay away!

Espionage’s is a great place to go if you’re looking for a good laugh and don’t take your music too seriously. It’s free entry which is always a bonus and it’s that big that you never have to wait too long to get served at one of the bars. It’s aimed at students mostly so the drink tends to be quite cheap and there are offers and promos on a lot of the time. It attracts such a range of people that you’re pretty much guaranteed to find someone to have a laugh with and it’s easy enough to escape from less desirables  The music’s good in a cheesy sing-a-long kind of way, and I’d recommend Espionage as the sort of place to finish up and evening.

I seem to enjoy Espionage more than other clubs in Aberdeen. One of the main reasons probably is that it's free entry!

It's usually quite busy inside, especially at the weekend obviously, but the queues to get in are never too long. Pretty casual dress code, but I've seen a few people acting like idiots in the queue get refused entry.

Drinks can sometimes be a bit expensive, but they also have good offers on at times during the week. Lots of bar space to order too, so you won't usually be waiting too long to get served.

Dancefloor is always jumping at the weekend, and although the music isn't really to my particular taste, it should suit your average person who goes there.

Toilets are a little small, but clean.

Pretty decent place overall.

Hi,
I was there only twice, and both times it was really crowded. Well one thing is good that the entrance is free. I guess that's why it is always crowded.

However the music could have been better.

U should go there yourselves and check it. Who knows maybe u will like it better then me.

K.

Maybe you have to get out of aberdeen and try some decent clubs then!!!

Or maybe you just have lower standards!!!!

Either way if you check other sites also on this club there are many to back up my case

Well what can i say, the previous poster must need its head read!!!! either that or they are just some rival nightclub employee trying to run down what is arguably the best club in aberdeen.

Iv been a regular in town for years and been to everywhere clubwise in the granite city more times than i prob should, lol. But espo is the best!!!

The djs are better than anywhere else... there are no "underage kiddies" like u see in most other big aberdeen nightspots.

The dress code is casual but i like to see it as they seem have a people code instead. Sumbags and the like are rarely seen there.

Drinks, the prices alternate everynite. they have probably one of the biggest vodka selections in scotland (i like) so if it does cost 5p more for a drink that u get in a glass, yes glass!!! none of this plastic rubbish other aberdeen bars use then ill pay the 5p!!!!

Long live Espionage!!!

****STAY AWAY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY*******
Been to many clubs world wide, a few in aberdeen, this is the worst ever!!! By a mile!!!!
Security: None. No searches on enrty. Staff dont inspire confidence if something had to kick off.
Staff: Mostly some of the most rudest people i have seen but there were a couple that were ok.
Drinks: Over priced and frankly poor
Music: At best average.

They people they let in are, well, probably unable to get in anywhere else. No dress code so everyone looked as though the had just finnished there shift in the fields!!!

To some it up if you had a choice, this or your eyes being stabed the later would prob be more of a thrill

Gets 1 star only because i had to
