Love this cafe. Definitely the best one down the beach with good food and most if not all is from organic sources. Service is good and very well set up for kids with a small play area and no frowning staff if the kids are a bit noisy.

This place stands out from the rash of beach cafes along this strip of the seafront - the atmosphere is far calmer, and the food and drink more imaginative. The staff are generally very helpful and the service is efficient without being rushed. Having been a number of times over the last few years this impression remains constant.

It may be worth also noting that the review suggesting this was the "worst cafe" that reviewer had ever visited was posted on Jan 2nd... it could be that the staff and/or the reviewer were not at their best just after Hogmanay? An understandable and forgivable state in either case.

This had to be the worst cafe I have ever visited, the service was worse than awful. The setting was great but would never visit again. Others who arrived after us were served and finished before we even had our drinks it took ten minutes to take our order and then 30 minutes to bring the drinks, upon asking where our food was I was given a very snippy reply of soon. When it finally arrived the order was incorrect and the waiter had to ask what part of our order was. The manager seemed indifferent to our complaint and offered a new hot chocolate and a free pan chocolat. When leaving we were just given a total and no bill we querried the bill and eventually were given a written cop we were charged £10 to much with extra items on the bill and no free pan chocolat.
