The Bobbin is good place for students. Although i never tried food there some ppl said it was ok. The drinks are quite cheap and on Mondays they have beers from £1.
You can play pool there so thats good as well.
However sometimes theres no free tables. And it can get very crowded.

The Bobbin is a classic student pub with good deals on food and cheap drinks especially once the yellow discount card is used. There is almost always plenty of people inside as student are known for drinking and for not being in lectures or the library, though you’ll notice it tends to be a sport team dominated place, so look out for plenty of jocks! Other than that it can be a great place to be if there is a big match on and a sure place to meet someone you know if your currently at Aberdeen Uni. The Staff are normally pretty good. Only thing is it can sometimes be difficult to find a free table.

I love the Bobbin!!! I used to go a lot when I was a student (it's right across the road from the uni and it's a great place to hide when you can't be bothered with lectures). It's a traditonal style pub, whic does excellent food - all the standard pub grub like burgers and amazing breakfasts. It also has several large screen Tellys so it's a great place for watching the match and you can get a game of pool or have a pint outside in the sunshine. The drinks pretty cheap if you get a membership card (this works in Triple Kirks in town as well) and there’s a big range of drinks and shooters. The Bobbin is well staffed, so doesn’t take too long to get served and they all tend to be cheery and amenable.
