Slain’s is one of my favorite places for going out drinking in Aberdeen, although the food can be a bit of a hit or a miss. The pub’s been built in an old church and you could be mistaken for thinking you’re in Frankenstein’s castle!! The whole place is decked out in Gargoyle Statues and huge gothic style seats with the toilets hidden behind bookcase (a bit of a novelty but not much fun when you’re dying for the loo and can’t find the right one). There are two bars, both well stocked with a good range of drinks and there’s an elaborate cocktail and shooter menu to choose from. I’ve eaten in Slain’s quite a few times and on the whole it’s been pretty good food, although there’s been once or twice when I wasn’t overly impressed. I’d definitely recommend Slain’s, especially at the weekends!!

Slains is one of my favourite places to go on a night out in Aberdeen.

You won't have to queue to get in, but make sure you have ID on you if you're going at the weekend and you don't look at least 21, because the bouncers do tend to ask to see it.

The whole 'gothic' type design of the place inside is pretty cool and its all set on different levels, with plenty of tables and seats and 2 nice long bars upstairs and downstairs.

Despite the fact theres always quite a lot of people there, we always seem to be able to find a table. There are loads spread out across the place, from small 2-seaters, to huge tables for people in big groups.

Decent priced drinks and special offers. One of my favourites things are the 7 deadly sins cocktails. A shame they don't do the jugs of those anymore, but I think its 2 glasses for a fiver and they are tasty, especially Gluttony!

There are plenty of TV screens about the place and the staff are always friendly enough. The toilets could be a bit better though.

All in all, a place I'll nearly always go on a night out.

I met my husband in slains 4 years ago,so we went back to slains for a celebration along with another couple who also met there 4 years ago,but when we got there we was shocked to find out we were not aloud in.We asked why and we were told that they do not have to give a reason. There was plenty of people walking by us and going into slains. So after 4 years of going to slains that is the way we were treated by door staff and i thought it was shocking. So am sorry slains nomore custom from us or any body else we no.
