The Food at Jeff's or "Sunnylands chippy" as it is more widely recognized in the area is generally very good. The portions are fairly generous and the taste and texture of the battered items is good. The pasties deserve a mention as they are a bizare red variety of pastie I've never had anywhere else. I can't decide if I like it, sometimes they are a little too spicey I think. The problem with the place is the staff. It is almost completely staffed by 17 - 18 year old teenage girls with perhaps one slightly older girl to legally operate the fryers. The level of service offered is frankly a disgrace. It turns fast food into "hang on I've been here 20 minutes you still havent taken my order, but you have taken the order of three people behind me" food. If and when they decide to take your order they do so with what can only be described as a grimace. I've used this place quite a lot as it's the closest to home and not once have I ever had a smile or even a simple thank you. I don't want worshiped for my patronage or petals thrown down in front of me when I enter a premises, but I would hope for at least a simple thank you.
