Matilde Noca

As the restaurant we normally wanted to have dinner ended up being closed (and we had reserved!), we were a bit desperate because we really wanted to have a nice and romantic dinner.

Eventually we saw a group of stylish and classy Portuguese people. I asked them where they were going and they said Matilde Noca.

We decided that at this point it was this or order room service at the hotel!

WHAT A SURPRISE!
THe restaurant is rather modern but the traditional dishes are the best we had had since our arrival a week prior!

The restaurant overlooks the city. The food is rich and full of flavours.

The service is very friendly and they speak english and french.

Prices are really low (to UK standards)

The dining room tends to be a bit crowded though and that is the only bad remark I would make.
