stayed here 4 nights beginning of march had a wonderful time, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are really helpful, we asked for directions to the casino not only did they oblige complete with a map, they even gave us a promotional ticket for free entry, the rooms are all different, we were given a choice of two - canal or garden view - we chose the garden view, although the garden isn't at its best just yet, you can see what it will become, the new owners (8 months) have employed a gardener and he is busy working on restoring and replanting it, this is going to be a fantastic area to sit (has patio section) with a drink after a long day walking. Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice, tea (even herbal) and coffee are made fresh for you when you enter the dining room, again the staff where lovely. The location may not be right in the heart of the tourist area (10 min walk) but this made it even better, being placed in a more residential section you got to see and meet the real venetians as they go about the day, and the local resturants are great value, excellent food and a really warm friendly atmosphere. Overall this is a lovely hotel whose staff are friendly and willing to help, having only 16 bedrooms it has a truly cosy feel and I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again
