Reviews for L'as du Fallafel
Feeling hungry after Notre Dame? Then cross the bridge into the Marais district and head for L'As du Fallafell. You can opt for takeaway or to sit inside the bustling dining room. There are a whole range of pita bread sandwiches available here. I had the shawarma, served in pita with tahina, eggplant, cabbage and tomato, washed down with a bottle of beer. I was told that the vegetarian falafel, washed down with a small bottle of wine was also delicious. The portions are huge and green chilli sauce and harissa are also supplied making it a taste sensation - truly the best shawarma I have eaten.
Current prices are €8 to eat in, €6 to take away and drinks are reasonable. It's busy, so don't expect over attentive service - but it is by no means unfriendly, just enjoy.
