I am not in the habit of writing reviews, however I was so impressed with this place that I thought it worth a mention. Had tried a few in Caen and found this on the last night.

An excellent small restaurant, which seats about 25 downstairs and the same upstairs. As the name suggests it's about meat. Mixed grills and steaks.

The steak is stored behind a glass counter and portions are cut off when ordered.

I opted for rumpsteak with peepercorn sauce and fries.

The service was quick and the meal well presented. The portion of fries was adequate. My meal was about 16 euros and came to around 20 with a large beer, so even the beer alone is cheaper than many bars in the area.

A point worth noting is that the food is always cooked one choice below your preference. So if you prefer medium opt for well done, or as I did well well done. They understood and it came back as I like it around medium.

Well worth a visit, and if you are not sure of the meals and portion sizes, you could always have a quiet drink while you see what other customers have ordered.
