Having stayed in this hotel a few times, this is my hotel of choice when travelling to Tampere. With free WiFi access (ask for a login at reception) and a wide selection of restaurants, you don't have to leave the hotel if it's too cold.
If you pay €25 for Sokos membership, I think you get €12 to spend each night in the various hotel restaurants, so after a couple of stays you make your money back.
