The Oesterreicher is in Vienna's modern art museum (closed Mondays but the restaurant is still open). The interior is dominated by a chandelier made of clear wine bottle over the bar - an art installation in itself - and the restaurant is actually very large. In summer there is an open-air dinning area in a sheltered areas at the back of the building which is great on a summer day.

We focused on the wine and cakes on this visit - which were excellent and the staff were attentive and knowledgable about the food and wines on the menu.
