The Victoria Hotel is a popular corner pub in Annandale. There is a decent size bar area (with a non-smoking section), some pool tables, and a dining room at the rear. It is a real blokes pub - when my sister and I went there one evening we were about the only females there (keep that in mind ladies if you are trying to pick up!).

I am not too keen on the look of this pub - it looks more inviting from the outside - but my sister assured me that the food was edible. Within the pub is Charles Bistro, run by the reportedly excellent Charles, who was of course absent the night I dined there. We decided to risk the food anyway and both ordered the Rib eye steak and chips.

The food arrived and the big hunk of steak looked great. And tasted good too….except for parts of it were so rare that we couldn't eat it all. Oh well, the part that we had was great, and as the kitchen closed up the minute our food was delivered there was no one around to chuck it back on the grill anyway.

Drinks wise, don't rush to the Victoria to do some wine tasting. They only had two bottles of red available and they were both pretty dire.
