Whitechapel has quite the illustrious past. It was here that Jack the Ripper found his victims, the Elephant man was exhibited in a shop window and in the Whitechapel Bell Foundry that the original bell of Big Ben was cast. At present, the population is very much a working class migrant one, with lots of Bangladeshi influence over the area particularly in the market with its array of colourful stalls & spicy aromas.
