La Poule Au Pot is said to be one of the most romantic restaurants in London, something which depends on the individual, but it is certainly one of the most authentically French. The cuisine is very rustic and wine is served in enormous carafe bottles - you pay for the amount you manage to consume rather than the entire bottle.

Oliveto manages to be sophisticated without being pretentious, so that while the interior is chic and well designed it's still a great place to bring kids. The food is much the same, quite simple but with interesting twists and always well prepared and delicious.

Olivo is very similar to its sister restaurant Oliveto in that it manages to be stylish and cool without being pretentious. Some say the prices are too steep but this is Belgravia and it's certainly no more expensive than most eateries in the area. The food is fresh and well prepared.

Volt is a fantastically modern restaurant in Victoria, serving delicious cocktails and surprisingly good Italian cuisine. The service is friendly and whilst the decor is over the top, and prices high, this restaurant is well worth checking out.
