Palmers Green is never going to be one of Londons most popular areas. Or a hidden gem for that matter. The kind of place that you would head to for a quiet meal or pint after work, its atmosphere is very local but also quite multinational. The area itself is known throughout North London as Palmers Greek and this connection is reflected in the restaurants of Green Lanes and Aldermans Hill with lots of Greek cuisine available. Adamos Taverna in particular is popular. Entertainment wise a regulation Wetherspoons is complemented by The Occasional Half which is great on Mondays for half price beer whilst live bands can be heard playing at the Inn on the Green. Not a tourist attraction in the least- theres not even a tube station- its main open space Broomfield Park is, however , very pretty and the Victorian conservatory here is definitely worth a view.
