Nearby Shaftesbury Avenue is home to Apollo and Queen’s Theatres. Shops are small, independent types - but be warned, here this means souvenirs of the Union Jack t shirt variety. Around the main square, Garfunkels and Chiquito are as close as you’re going to get to exotic eating but head further up towards Piccadilly and you’ll hit China Town- streets of Cantonese restaurants. Lively and hectic, nowhere does it better than here.
