To some Kilburn is an area bursting with character, heightened by a friendly community atmosphere and diverse ethic mix. For others it is bordering far too close to the dodgy side, complete with a worrying crime culture. Yet with both these descriptions reminiscent of so many London districts, what exactly makes Kilburn stand out? Once known as Little Eire', the area is always lively. Kilburn High Road, filled with independent and specialist stores, offers a tantalising array of produce from all over the globe supplemented by more recognised names. The Tricycle Theatre is the perfect place to watch a show, some of which go on to receive West End fame. Transport links to Central London are equally fantastic. But with a great selection of pubs, which bring together trendy and traditional décor and restaurants such as local gem Little Bay offering fine cuisine at fantastic prices, you might just be tempted to stay here.
