St Peter's Church is located near the AMP Oval Cricket Ground and was designed by the Victorian architect, John Loughborough Pearson. It was built between 1863 and 1864 on the edge of what used to be Vauxhall Gardens, and its main altar lies on the site of the Neptune Fountain. By the time St Peter's was built, Lambeth had a population of 162,000, and the church was built to cater for their spiritual needs.

Vauxhall City Farm is a working farm with friendly animals. Two thirds of the farm is an acre of derelict farm, but it was transformed in 1977 by volunteers to the success that it is today. Watch out for Bella the pig and Jacko the donkey as they are the favourites of the farm. There is also a small ecology area with a frog pond and a herb and dye garden. Admission is free.
