Quick shout on Camden Town

I am always inclined to view Camden Town through the rosy-tinted glasses of nostalgia as it is the area in which I spent my formative years. The now impossibly expensive Georgian architecture of the area is similar to that seen in Dublin – fitting for a place which, until the 1980s at least, was universally regarded as an ‘Irish ghetto’. The area has rapidly changed beyond recognition from that of my childhood (which wasn’t that long ago!) but even now, walking along the scruffier bits of Eversholt Street and Arlington Road, past the Catholic Church and few remaining Irish pubs, the history of area is still there to be found for those who care...
