Bloomsbury is famous for its literary and bohemian heritage which is kept alive today in its being home to the University of London, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the College of Law, and the British Library. The area is a tucked-away grid of pretty gardened squares and tall Georgian architecture in between Tottenham Court Road and Euston Station. As the area plays host to so many students including medical trainees from two nearby hospitals, there are plentiful pubs and cheap cafes including hidden gems such as the British Museum's own cafe. While the West End is a short walk away, many prefer to stay in the busy hub of Bloomsbury opting for the University of London student bar (occasionally open to non-students) or one of the unpretentious late night pubs.
