The rich cultural diversity of the people who have called Aldgate home is reflected in the happy co-existence of the old fashioned cockney boozer that is 'The Still and Star', via Tubby Issacs fish stall on the junction of Brick Lane and Aldgate East, to the numerous tandori restaurants dotted along Aldgate High Street. Attractions include: Whitechapel Art Gallery, The Bell Foundry museum (more interesting than you might think!), and the excellent restaurants and funky bars of Brick Lane.
