The Camel and Artichoke, SE1

Never one to miss the chance to make new friends and catch up with some old ones I nipped along to the Camel and Artichoke near Waterloo last night. The upstairs had been taken over by bloggers for the evening so it was a good chance to mingle and bend the ears of the likes of Londonist, Going Underground and Shiny Media.

Having never been to the pub before (and apparently it used to be even more elusive) I was quite taken by the friendly staff who decided I couldn’t leave without seeing their new beer garden. Seeing as they were so proud of what used to be underused and overgrown I grabbed my camera…

Certainly somewhere I’ll be heading back to once it gets a little warmer. Wonder if I can convince them to throw some veggie sausages on the barbie…
