Despite there being no actual food in this photograph I just had to share it because it seems to sum up London so well: The rain, the bus and the sticker.

London gets a hard time because of the weather, but come on, it doesn’t rain all the time. And is there anything better than warming up from the weather in a cool little London hideaway like the cafe in Foyles? We’d get bored if the weather was perfect…

The transport system here too gets a hard time, but I’d rather share a bus than try and navigate the jammed roads in a car. Plus they’re iconic - in fact I was just ferried around in an old routemaster this past weekend in Luxembourg and have seen them as far afield as San Francisco. Although aside from a few heritage routes your best chance to see one these days is at the Transport Museum. You’ve gotta love the buses if you live in London.

And stickers… well London is covered in them. You can’t go down an escalator on the tube without smiling at a strategically placed sticker that alters the meaning of the mundane advertising it’s attached to. And a sticker that simply says I Heart Good Food is always going to get our attention, even if as in this case it has nothing to do with food and everything to do with guerrilla marketing.
