Latest TrustedPlaces

It’s been a long time coming, but here it finally is. The latest and greatest version of your TrustedPlaces has arrived.
You’ll immediately notice some of the obvious changes in the look & feel and overall navigation, but we have some more detailed new features, which we really hope you’ll enjoy. So now you can:
* Create your own lists. Not just your ‘favourite’ and places that you ‘want to go’ but anything that you fancy really. So you can have your own personal guides that you can share with friends.

* Get Personalised recommendations. You’ll notice on your home page a list of places we think you may like. These are calculated using your TasteMatcher, location and activity on the site. We’re tweaking around with this new algorithm, so please let us know what you think. The more reviews we have that are relevant to you and the more you use the site the better the algorithm works. Any friends you haven’t invited yet? You can do so here.

* Play the new TasteMatcher. It’s all flash now and much faster to complete.

* Add reviews in a much easier way, with a simplified and shortened version. Now it takes even less time to tell us about your favourite places.

* View specific city and area pages. You can add your own description and links via our beloved wiki.

* Become a local expert. We now measure who writes most and best content for each specific areas and allocate a special badge to your profile. Not only do you get bags of kudos, you also receive priority to some exciting reward programmes we’ll be announcing soon.

* View your photos and videos from one tab, easily browsing the content you have created.

There are a lot more elements of the site that have been updated, but I would be taking away any surprises if I listed them all here. The whole team has been working extremely hard and we really hope you enjoy the new site. We’ve tested and retested everything, but as always if you have any feedback please let us know at the usual feedback@trustedplaces.com

Competition

We couldn’t just launch without giving away some goodies to celebrate. So for the next few weeks we’ll be giving away a delicious San Lorenzo hamper, packed with Italian delicacies. All you need to do is write a few great reviews. If your review is chosen as “Review of the Day” you’re automatically entered into our weekly competition to win a San Lorenzo hamper.
