The First London Twitter Meetup
We’re not sure how many of our users are also fans of Twitter, but we had a chance to meet a LOT of Twitter users on Thursday when we sponsored the first ever London Twitter Meetup:
If you haven’t come across Twitter yet it’s a very cool idea that asks you a very simple question: What are you doing?
The answers are always limited to 140 characters, but can be sent over the net, via instant messages or by mobile phone. It’s a great way to find out what friends are up to and people use Twitter for everything from microblogging to writing fiction. Twitter meetups have started to happen all over the world as the people behind the instant updates start to make new friends in the real world as well as the Twitterverse.
TrustedPlaces was proud to be involved in the first London event and we provided the place and some prizes for the most dedicated Twitterers. The venue was the stunning Ishtar and we’d like to thank the staff for treating us all so well on the night. They even ran out to buy a new lead when we had problems projecting Twittervision and the food and wine was excellent. The beer was also very popular… perhaps a little too popular judging from some of the sore heads reported on Twitter the next morning

Do you guys use Twitter yourselves?
If so, how do we find you? I couldn’t get to the Twitter meetup on the night, but I hear it went well.
