Bastille Day Celebration
We may not have stormed the Bastille on the 14th of July but we definitely celebrated le 14 Juillet in style, at the Charles Lamb Pub with Ricard, Petanque, and delicious merguez sandwiches. The usual suspects like Idoru, Sami, MissBex, Formaggio_Amore, PaulPod, Aroberts to name but a few came along for a fun day out.
The Charles Lamb Pub, a favourite of TrustedPlaces members, threw a wonderful Bastille Day celebration by organizing a petanque competition on the street, commissioning a local artist to paint the event and even giving a free second glass of Ricard to every one purchased. Which was great fun, but meant that both myself and Sokratis faired quiet badly at the Petanque, despite our warm-up successes
Enough said. Have a look at the video below and see you at our next party:
TrustedPlaces loves all cultures so if you know of any upcoming national holidays lets us know and we’ll find a venue where we can celebrate it.
Have a great weekend!
