Bastille Day at The Charles Lamb!
Here’s something that you may or may not have marked on your cultural calendar depending just how you feel about French aristocracy: Bastille Day!
Not being in France (or indeed French for that matter) is no excuse not to celebrate in rabble rousing style so the TrustedPlaces team will be storming the (rather un-French sounding) Charles Lamb Pub over the weekend. We’d love for you to join us.
The Charles Lamb is a firm favourite of TrustedPlaces members and comes into its own for this kind of celebration. This is the second year they’ve celebrated France’s Fête Nationale and even the famous pub dog Mascha gets involved.
The highlight of the weekend will be a petanque competition:
“There will be 2 people per team and you need to register your team by 1pm. The entry fee for each team is £5, which will be donated to Battersea dogs home…As requested by Mascha.”
Ricard have donated prizes, there will be food (and Accordion playing!) throughout the day as well as some Tour de France action.
We’ll be there so look out for the TrustedPlaces shirts and if you come along and have a camera with you remember that you can now add video footage to all your reviews on TrustedPlaces!
See you on quatorze juillet from 12:00 onwards.
