Latest News on TrustedPlaces
Two things are vital to Trusted Places: you guys and the places themselves. It seems obvious we know, but we wanted to remind all our users how much we appreciate the feedback we receive. Whenever possible we take your suggestions to the next level and implement them on the site and that’s just what we’ve done recently. Read on to find what’s new…
There are now more places than ever to explore. This means more cafes, bars and restaurants, but at your suggestion we’ve also expanded more cultural places such as theatres, galleries and museums. Now you can have a drink before a show and review your whole evening.
Health clubs and other places that focus on your well being are now represented right alongside the pubs and curry houses that you over indulge in
And you can now tell us about the healthy options ‘and’ the temptations found in delicatessens, grocers, cheese shops and fish mongers.
We’ve even got hotels on the site so that you can recommend a trusted place for a friend to stay over in rather than offering the couch or find a place for yourself when you need to get away from it all.
So now we have plenty more places for you to discover and review, but we’ve also made sure that navigation and discovery are easier than before. As an example, we’ve broken down our popular restaurant listings into one hundred different categories. Now you can filter places according to your exact likes and dislikes! Thai or Indian, French or Italian are a couple of clicks (or searches) away.
And let’s not forget that there are also music shops, street markets and much more to be discovered. The bottom line is that if you know of a place that you’d happily recommend to a friend then there’s room for it on Trusted Places, no matter what its function.
Perhaps more importantly most of the new places now have phone numbers, website information and a short business description with indicative pricing already listed right along side the address. It’s all easier to view now as well as we’ve spruced up a couple of key pages, like places browsing and an individual page for a place. And if you are one of our more web savvy users you’ll be interested to learn that all the key pages now have RSS feeds and microformats
As with any changes we make the plan is to keep Trusted Places simple and useful. We hope you enjoy the new stuff and find that we’re continuing to help you find and share the most exciting and interesting places in your area.
As always please let us know what you think by adding your comments here and of course share some ideas around what else you’d like to see on Trusted Places.
