September already?
Has it really been more than a month since our last entry? It feels like 6 months and 6 days at the same time. We have had an incredibly busy and creative summer and now really looking forward to the rest of the year. True to our promises in the last post you can now do much more in TrustedPlaces. Discussions are not here yet, but they’re just around the cornet and are looking good. It has taken us a bit more time than expected as we’ve decided to re-engineer the way discussion work to make them easier to user, more fun and a whole more integral to the whole experience of TrustedPlaces.
The main focus now is putting up all the new features we’ve been busy building and opening up the site to the public. I’m not going to give out much detail, but we believe they really enhance the usability and utility of the site. Like the alpha launch we’re not waiting until we’re 100% ready, but instead opting to let you help us take the site to the next level. Thanks again, to everyone that has so far contributed with comments, bug reports, ideas and suggestions.
Talking about suggestions…I’ve heard a couple of comments from people on how TrustedPlaces is really useful to them, but how they would also like it to be a bit more engaging as a destination where people go not just to retrieve information about places, but also spend time doing other interesting ‘stuff’. This is exactly what we want. A vibrant community whose members are interested in each other and also help each other make better decisions. Now, we have plenty of ideas on how to make this happen, but of course would really appreciate your input. So let us have it. Send us an email on feedback@trustedplaces.com, post a comment here, talk to us when you meet us on the street, drop by the office or even write us a letter. The best ideas will be rewarded with eternal gratitude and maybe something a little more tangible over the coming months.
To close off, here’s a pic of Dima using his supreme multi-tasking skills on 4 different computers. Amazing!

You sure can start up a tasty website but your counting sucks. Thats 5 computers? Certainly 5 screens.
Let me know when you need a professional counter.

Hmm, you pass the quantitative test, but I’m afraid you fail on reading comprehension. That’s 4 (not 5) computers mentioned in the text and indeed 5 screens (one laptop connected with another screen - that php takes up a lot of space).
Definitely we’ll need a professional counter; you’re in the shortlist
