We have launched. Now the real hard work begins!
Yes we did make it this time and the site is open to invitations only at the moment. There are bugs and we are still improving some of the processes and tweaking the design, but the site is there. You can add a review, create your profile, view other users’ profiles, view places and do all those great things that have existed only in our heads during the last few months. You cannot discuss – yet – where the best place to party in Manchester is or which bar in London serves the best cocktail, but you will be able to do so over the coming days.
Yes, it’s a risk to release something to the public that has not been 100% tested, fixed and completed. However, we feel it’s a far greater risk to spend weeks designing and developing – only to find out that the assumptions we made and decisions we took are not what you, the users, want.
So this is us opening ourselves up to you guys who have registered and inviting you to be part of the story of trustedplaces. Challenge us, give us your ideas, tell us what you like and what you don’t like and help us give something back that you will enjoy using and feel proud to recommend to your friends. Some of you have already done that. Thank you, we appreciate it a lot.
We have started inviting users tonight and in the next few days everybody that has registered will receive their invitation email.
Please leave your comments here or email us at feedback@trustedplaces.com

well done boys. i’m glad you’ve got something to show in the public domain for all your hard work. as i said to soks last night, i think your approach is smart for now and ultimately should lead to a much improved end product. yeah, its a gamble, but that’s what you gotta do sometimes. i for one am looking forward to playing with the alpha, beta and later versions. good luck & keep up the good work.
