trustedplaces blog launches!
After much thinking of when is a good time to launch a blog, we decided to stop the thinking and just start writing! The purpose of this blog is to give you a chance to join in this great adventure of building trustedplaces, to join in the hard decisions we had to make, issues we resolved, and of course participate in the fun!So what is trustedplaces? Good question, as it took us quite a bit of time to come up with a line or two that correctly expressed what trustedplaces is. Here it is: “Trustedplaces provides you with great new places to try out, that have all been recommended by trusted people like your friends and their friends. With trustedplaces you can easily record your favourite restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs..etc so that you can remember and share them with your friends!”Now for a little bit of history on how all this began… Trustedplaces first saw the day of light on a cold March day in a Costa Coffee in West Hampstead, London. Sokratis (”Soks”) invited Walid (”Walid”) to a coffee to discuss ideas about starting a business. Now whilst the idea was slightly different to what trustedplaces is now it was the initial spark that started this whole thing. So a round of applause for Soks :)In the next blog entry we will discuss how trustedplaces went from becoming an idea to a company!

Good luck to you both! I think it’s a great idea, and if there is any way that I can help, just let me know.

I can safely and proudly claim to be one of the closest persons to the “Trustedplaces” project -at least in terms of physical distance to Walid (”Walid”): I am his flatmate!
I can also attest that the amount of energy, inspired thoughts, imagination, creativity, madness (yes, including clinical!) and even cheese consumption (yes, fromage, I mean!), that has been input into the project is truely inspirational!
A great project, with a great focus (people, their social life and a fresh way to look at communities on the Web), this HAS to, and WILL no doubt see the light and be a great success! Bring it on boys, you are doing a fantastic job. Good luck to both of you and never hesitate to ask for any help or assitance!

You guys don’t need luck. With the brains, motivation, dedication, passion and vision you’ve got, I really believe that you will not only make it, but you’ll make it BIG!
BTW, I would be thrilled to help out. Let me know how and when I can get involved.

Hi Sox. What time did you say it kicked off? and how long will it go on for? I have nothing on the Thursday or Friday so far so if I can get off bit early Wednesday could do it.
Dont really want to miss it. Want to support a great idea from a great friend as much as possible!
